Welcome to AEDPMission Statement
AEDP is an organization of professionals in a variety of disciplines specializing in the field of eminent domain. The organization provides a source for attorneys, property owner and government clients desiring the highest quality experts for condemnation proceedings. The primary goals of AEDP are to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information between professionals who provide private and public clients with services related to eminent domain matters and to enhance the professionalism of the membership through various continuing education opportunities. Membership includes the opportunity to access the "Recent Developments in Eminent Domain" section of the website, providing timely information to eminent domain professionals. Rapidly evolving case law can dramatically change how eminent domain professionals deal with complex legal issues such as public purpose, necessity, property valuation, and full compensation. Eminent domain is a unique area of the law because it often involves a mixture of legal and engineering or appraisal questions. AEDP is committed to providing timely information highlighting the latest developments in eminent domain practice. The association’s leadership and members thank Jay W. Small of Mateer Harbert, P.A. for providing the case law update information in our “Recent Developments in Eminent Domain” section. Articles and information from all our members are welcome for possible inclusion on this site. Please e-mail them to [email protected]. AEDP conferences provide the opportunity for education, communication and networking. Meetings are held on a rotating basis in different cities throughout Florida. AEDP publishes electronic communications to its members on an on-going basis, which provides information on current events in the field, and alerts members as to the content of upcoming meetings.
